OJCT releases first set of combined U21 rankings for 2016-17 season

The OJCT is pleased to release the first set of combined U21 rankings for the 2016-17.  The combined rankings include all points for U21 events earned by all teams and 1/2 of the U18 points for any U18 events played by U18 teams. OJCT U21 Rankings Updated

Rankings for the U21 Men and Women have been updated through the end of the last two weekends of OCA U21 Qualifier and Challenge Round play. Teams Hall and Wallingford, who led or were tied for the lead going into OCA play downs, have extended their leads with two Qualifying Round A side wins.  Teams Lyon-Hatcher and Scott made the biggest moves up in the top eight of the men’s standings with their good OCA results while the same can be said of teams Anderson and Rozon on the women’s side. U21 Provincial Field Set

The Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club hosted the U21 Challenge Round this weekend, with 4 teams advancing to provincials. On the women’s side, team Auld won the A final 7-4 over team Wong. In the B final, team Armstrong won their third game in a row to earn a trip to the provincials in Russell. Over on the men’s side, team Hahn wrapped up an undefeated weekend and won the A final. Team Richard rebounded in the B final with a 5-4 win over team Delisle. With the challenge round complete, the provincial field has been set, with the following teams advancing to Russell in January: Women -Wallingford, Little, Murphy, Rozon, Anderson, Brandwood, Auld and Armstrong. Final 4 U21 Provincial Births Up For Grabs

The final four teams making up this season’s U21 Provincials will be determined this weekend at the challenge round, hosted by the Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club. The 2 men’s and 2 women’s teams that conquer the double knockout will advance to provincials, joining the 12 teams that advanced from the qualifiers last weekend. OJCT pleased to announce new U18 event – North Durham U18 Invitational

The OJCT is pleased to announce a new U18 event to add to the tour calendar for the 2016-17 season. The North Durham U18 Invitational will take place January 14 to 15, 2017 and will be hosted jointly by the Port Perry and Uxbridge Curling Club. The key highlights of the event are: Separate U18 Boys and U18 Girls events 8 boys and 8 girls teams pool format Four (4) games guaranteed. Three round-robin games seed teams for cross-over playoffs. All teams make playoffs Sunday morning. Teams will play a minimum of two games at both Port Perry and Uxbridge clubs All games played at Port Perry will be timed (for coaching purposes only) Semi-Finals and Finals hosted by Port Perry Curling Club Game Times: Saturday (round-robin games) 9:00am, 1:30pm, 6:00pm Sunday (playoffs) 9:00am, 12:30pm, 4:00pm Team Entry: $300 Contact Rob Steele at for information on the event....
