U21 provincial qualification got underway across Ontario today, with 3 provincial berths already claimed. Teams who clinched their spots are: Team Lyon-Hathcher, A-side at the men’s “A” qualifier Team Murphy, A-side at the women’s “B” qualifier Team Anderson, A-side at the women’s “C” qualifier A-finals tomorrow include: Women’s “A” qualifier: Armstrong vs Wallingford Men’s “B” qualifier: Hall vs Enman Men’s “C” qualifier: Scott vs Michaud There are 20 additional teams who are battling it out on the B-side looking to secure their provincial berths. Weekend Champions Crowned

The U 21 KW Junior Curling Classic featured champions making their long trips worthwhile. Team Wallingford from the Carleton Heights Curling Club in Ottawa, earned the women’s title by defeating the hometown KW Granite team of Molly Greenwood. On the men’s side, team Warkentin from the Community First Curling Centre in the Soo, beat Chatham Granite’s team Poole. Wallingford and Warkentin both used the hammer in extra ends to come away with thrilling victories. Meanwhile in Kingston at the U18 Pegasus Slam, team Sutherland took down team Deschenes in the women’s final, while team Mooibroek beat team Kirby in the men’s...
