OJCT Forums Making A Comeback

A feature from the past is coming back, as the OJCT forums have been revived. After considerable testing, the OJCT website will once again include the forums, which were a fixture of the old website. We have taken the time to ensure that the forums will be secured, so we can avoid them being a potential point of failure for the website, as was the case in the past. New Chairperson For the OJCT

The OJCT’s chairperson will be changing, as past chair Matt Wilkinson decided to take a step back, with Perry Marshall being named his successor. Perry was quick to acknowledge the work Matt has put in saying “On behalf of my fellow directors, I want to express our sincere gratitude for the years of dedicated service given by Matt Wilkinson on behalf of the junior curling community”. Matt has been a fixture on the junior curling circuit for some time, both as a coach and an event organizer, along with his position as OJCT chair. Through these roles, he has played a large part in shaping and guiding the Ontario junior curling community. Matt said “I am happy with what we have been able to accomplish during my time as chairperson over the past 9 years, however there comes a time when new blood and new ideas is the right way to go.  I’m looking forward to staying involved with the tour, but know that Perry will be the guide that is right for the future.” Perry has been a key director on the OJCT board, and was the point man for the creation and implementation of the new OJCT website and social media presence.
