Rotskas and Don Victorious in KW

The K-W Granite U18 cashspiel concluded Sunday, with teams Rotskas and Don claiming the titles. The girl’s side saw teams Madden and Don win their pools with 4-1 records, and advance to the championship match. The final saw a back and forth battle go Don’s way, with a final score of 8-7. The pool runner-ups met in a battle for third place, with team Bernard taking down team Ford by a score of 9-5. The fifth place game was slated to be team Doig versus team Weldy, but the Michigan team started the trip home early, giving Doig a default win. On the boy’s side, Rotskas finished the weekend 6-0, and completed an undefeated run with a 7-2 win over team Fenech in the boy’s final. Finishing second in the boy’s pools were teams Enman and Rooney, who met in a battle for third place, with Enman prevailing 7-3. Fifth place was claimed by team Running, who took down team Prenevost by a score of 6-4....

Major event closes the gaps in U18 rankings. TCA Youth Championship entry update

Last weekend’s Stu Sells U18 Tankard results tightened up the leads of the weekly top ten in both the men’s and women’s rankings. Teams Fayaz and Steele maintained their leads atop the board but teams Enman and Bernard have closed the gaps between first and second with their victories on Sunday.  With two events in December to go, the K-W Granite U18 Cashspiel, and another major, the TCA Youth Championships, the end of the month will be sure to see some potential changes in the top ten. Bernard and Enman Claim First U18 Major

The Stu Sells U18 Tankard concluded Sunday, with team Bernard claiming the girl’s title and team Enman winning the boy’s side. Bernard won the first U18 major with a 9-6 win over team Croisier, while Enman beat team Inglis 7-6. Semi-finalists at the Weston Golf and Country Club included teams MacKay and Steele on the girl’s side, and teams Fenech and Fayaz on the boy’s side.
