The Stu Sells Junior Tankard, the OJCT’s first major of the 2017-18 season, has just released this year’s event plan and draw which will feature some of the top returning U21 teams from Ontario and the United States as well as some up and coming new teams both at the U21 and U18 level.
Competition begins on Thursday, September 14th and concludes on Sunday, September 17th at the High Park Club in Toronto. A new triple knock-out event format will be in place this year with an exciting page playoff system for the top four teams from the knock-out rounds to played on Sunday.
In the men’s field will be the reigning world silver medalists Team Stopera from the US as well as defending Ontario and Canadian U21 silver medalist Team Hall.
The women’s field also features many of the Ontario provincial finalists from 2017 reformed into new teams for the 2017-18 season as well as 2017 Stu Sells U18 Champion and Provincial Champion Team Gray from the Perth Curling Club.
Saturday night will feature the annual Stu Sells Support Foundation BBQ so come out to enjoy some great junior curling and be part of the fun at High Park.
