Teams Gray and Enman became Ontario’s first U18 champions this past weekend at the Hamilton-Victoria Club.

Team Gray wrapped up round robin with a 6-1 record, securing themselves a place in the Ontario final. In the final, they faced team Deschenes, who beat team Kiemele 5-2 in the semi-final. Team Gray scored the first 4 points of the final and never looked back, winning 4-2.

Team Enman finished round robin with a 4-3 record, placing them in a 3-way tie for second. They won a tiebreaker game 6-4 over team Mooibroek, then followed it up with a 6-3 semi-final victory over team Purdy. The final saw team Enman facing off against the 6-1 round robin leaders, team Hahn. Scoring a deuce in the last end meant a 5-4 victory for team Enman and a provincial title.

Best of luck to teams Gray and Enman as they represent Ontario at the U18 National Championships in Moncton.
