Two events from this past weekend on the OJCT Tour saw some exciting results.

In Ottawa, at the 23rd annual OVCA Superspiel, Ontario teams did very well against teams from around Canada, the US and Europe.

In the men’s event, Tanner Horgan and his team from Sudbury were the winners defeating one of the US Junior National development teams, Team Clawson scoring a four ender in the eighth end to pull away for a 10-2 victory.

In the women’s event, it was an all local final with Emma Wallingford’s team from Ottawa defeating local rival Marie-Elaine Little in a back and forth game with the Wallingford squad coming out on top  7-4.

The consolation final saw Sam Mooibroek’s team from Kitchener-Waterloo defeat the Nova Scotia team of Kristin Clarke 7-2.  An excellent showing for the Ontario teams entered into the event this year.

The U18 circuit saw the men’s edition of the Orion Slam played in Cambridge at the Galt Country Club.   Team Ryan Fayaz were the event winners defeating the Coldwater team of Evan Running in a close final, 7-5.  In the consolation event, Team Enman defeated Team Rotskas, 7-6.
