The 2019 U21 Provincials at the Annandale G&CC came to a close with two Ontario champions emerging. Team Coburn is the 2019 Ontario U21 women’s champion, and team Steep is the 2019 Ontario men’s champion.

Team Coburn finished round robin with a 4-3 record, and strung together three wins in a row to capture the Ontario crown and a place at Nationals next month. They advanced from the tie-breaker after a 6-5 win over team Auld, and followed it up with a 7-6 win over team Wallingford, to advance to the final. Team Bernard was awaiting as they earned the bye after a 6-1 round robin record. Team Coburn kept the momentum going with a 9-5 win.

Team Steep finished round robin with a 5-2 record, earning them a bye to the men’s final. Team Mooibroek would meet them in the final after a 8-2 win over team Poole in the men’s semi-final. A back-and-forth game saw the teams head to the 10th end tied, with Mooibroek holding hammer. Team Steep stole the end and the game, with the final 8-7.
